The verification process

Four steps, from the first conversation to the decision. Arrangements reflect the scope of your engagement.

  1. 01

    Review of your request

    You provide the scope, intended CyFun® level, your claim and relevant information about your organisation. We review the feasibility of the engagement, including our competence, resources and the absence of conflicts of interest.

  2. 02

    Agreement and preparation

    After agreement on the engagement, we prepare the verification plan: expected documents, activities, people involved and schedule. You prepare the self-assessment and evidence of measures at the chosen level.

  3. 03

    Audit activities

    The verifier examines documents and evidence, conducts interviews and carries out the planned activities. Findings, any discrepancies and the evidence examined are documented in the report.

  4. 04

    Independent review and decision

    A person who did not carry out the verification performs the independent review. A decision is then made on the claim. The report and, depending on that decision, the verification statement are communicated to you.

The Basic and Important programmes and detailed engagement arrangements are available on request. Your organisation or service providers are responsible for preparing measures and the self-assessment.
